Sarah Masen landete mit ihrem zweiten Album "Sarah Masen" ihren großen Wurf. Nicht ganz unschuldig daran dürfte wohl die TV-Serie "Party Of Five" gewesen sein, die "All Fall Down" als Titelmusik wählte. Sarah Masen kam bei re:think, dem Label von Charlie Peacock unter, der sich vor allem mit zeitgenössischer christlicher Musik einen Namen gemacht hatte. Sarah Masen legte in der Folge zwar noch drei Alben nach, konnte allerdings an den kommerziellen Erfolg ihres ‘96er Albums nicht mehr anschließen. 2001 nahm sie eine Auszeit von sechs Jahren und legte erst 2007 wieder neues Material unter eigenem Namen vor. In der Zwischenzeit kümmerte sie sich um ihre Familie und schrieb einige Stücke für andere Künstler. An ihrem Stil, der sich am Mainstream-Pop orientiert, hat sich allerdings nur wenig geändert. |
