Irische Musik in Palma de Mallorca? Ja, das klappt tatsächlich. Am 10. April 1997 wagte die irische Folkgruppe Dervish das Experiment und spielte ein Konzert auf einer anderen Insel, vor einem voll besetzten Haus (dem "Teatre Principal") und mit fantastischer Resonanz.
Die typisch irischen Lieder und Tänze kommen in lockerer Stimmung daher und beweisen, daß Dervish nicht nur im Studio perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt sind. Die erstaunlich transparente Aufnahme und lobenswerte Mischung aus fröhlichen Tänzen und dezent-melancholischen Stücken sollte man nicht unerwähnt lassen. Die Presse lobte dieses Live-Album als eines der besten traditionellen Irish Folk-Alben unserer Zeit.
