In Australien beliebter als die Beatles, im Rest der Welt wenig beachtet. Selbst ihr Meisterwerk, das Album "Vigil" lockte international kaum jemanden hinter dem Ofen hervor, und das trotz ausgezeichneter Songs und für die damalige Zeit ungewöhnlichen Songstruktur-Experimenten. Vergleiche mit dem "weißen Album" der Beatles braucht dieses Opus nicht zu scheuen - und Titel wie das opulent-melancholische "Hello How Are You" oder das gallenbittere "We All Live Happily Together" sind Werke, die definitiv den Rahmen einer normalen Beatkapelle sprengen. |
